Provision


Since the difficulties presented by students with dyslexia range along a continuum from mild to severe, they require a continuum of interventions and other services.

Recommended Levels of Provision at Primary Level
• Differentiation by mainstream class teacher
• Small group intervention by specialist teacher
• 1:1 from dyslexia-trained teacher
• Exemption from studying more than one language
• Placement in designated classroom or special school


Recommended Levels of Provision at Second Level
• Differentiation by mainstream subject teachers
• Small group intervention by specialist teacher
• 1:1 from dyslexia-trained teacher
• Exemption from studying more than one language
• Accommodation in state examinations
• Personal and vocational guidance
